Dedicated to our students and their overall development.

Our Mission Statement

Chai Preschool and Infant Center is a place where “everyone is welcome.” We believe each child learns best in an environment that is rich in hands-on experiences. We aim to provide a warm, happy, and healthy environment where children do not just grow physically but emotionally, cognitively, and socially as well.

We see every child as treasured presents entrusted into our hands. This is what guides our institution’s approach to education. We emphasize the individual child and encourage each one’s innate curiosity and yearning for knowledge. Through small classes and a low student-to-teacher ratio, we can guarantee that every child obtains individual care and attention.

In addition, we strive to impart in them a love of learning as well as to encourage faith and trust in G-d. We wish to engender love and understanding of diversity toward our human race and participation in the performance of the Mitzvot (good deeds) of the Torah, making these a part of our daily routine as well as celebrating Jewish holidays through fun activities and games.

About Chai Preschool and Infant Center

children smilingChai Preschool and Infant Center was established in 1989 and arose from a shared desire for excellence in addressing the needs of the children and their families from our community. Our philosophy focuses on promoting each individual child’s growth and development, relationships, and understanding—all with the purpose of developing a love for learning and a zeal to approach the world’s different cultures and diversity with a positive point of view.

Chai Preschool and Infant Center is affiliated with Chabad of Poway, which is committed to sharing the wonders and rewards of Judaism throughout the world in a non-judgmental and inclusive manner. We serve the needs of all, whether Jew or non-Jew. Our center welcomes everyone with open arms, regardless of their level of knowledge, observance, or affiliation.

We serve children from as early as 6 weeks to pre-k (approx. 4-5 years old) and their families in the North County Inland and the Poway/Rancho Bernardo area. For more information about our school, please contact us.
